The Meaning Behind the Crown

Choosing a brand identity is never easy—so I begin with meaning. What does something stand for? How does it translate to the person who wears it and the people who see it? For me, everything begins with HOPE. Hope keeps us going. It lifts us. It inspires us to lead, to grow, and to believe in something greater than ourselves.

This crown was chosen with that in mind—crafted for those who will carry the title with prestige and quiet, timeless elegance. Our inaugural Queens and Kings will not simply wear a crown. They will wear a symbol—of resilience, renewal, and responsibility to represent our great nation with pride.

The rich gold reflects excellence, achievement, and tradition—the kind that endures. The emerald stones are more than beautiful—they symbolize growth, strength, and the power of change. Just as Dorothy followed the road to the Emerald City in search of wisdom, courage, and home, this crown reminds us all that the journey—to becoming is as powerful as the destination.

National Miss America and National Miss United States are not just titles. They are honors bestowed upon those who embody all that our country represents. If you wish to become the keeper of one of the nation’s most spectacular crowns, come prepared—with hope in your heart and purpose in your steps.

How Can I Participate?

National Miss America and United States National Miss

Two distinct national pageants—National Miss America and National Miss United States—created to give more contestants the opportunity to rise, lead, and inspire. These prestigious titles are awarded only once during the Inaugural season and may only be claimed by completing the official online form.

Once your form is submitted, it will be reviewed by a panel of three judges. So, what are they looking for? Heart. Purpose. Presence.

They’re seeking contestants who genuinely care—those with a passion for making a difference and a clear understanding that this crown is a symbol of hope, leadership, and inspiration, not just decoration.

We value quality over quantity, and your answers will matter. We’re looking for individuals who will represent these titles with the same energy, integrity, and enthusiasm with which they represent themselves—after all, you are the face of the brand.

If selected, your crown and sash will ship during the first week of October, marking the official start of your 2026 reign. In the meantime, you’ll receive exclusive tools and resources through our National Miss America–United States website to help you make the most of your year.

This is your moment to step forward as a true ambassador. We can’t wait to see your heart shine.

The Question on Everyone's Mind...

Will There Be a Live Pageant?
Yes—and no.

There is no live pageant for our Inaugural Queens and Kings. These historic titles will be awarded through our online application process, giving contestants the unique opportunity to become the first-ever National Titleholders for National Miss America and United States National Miss.

Once we begin accepting State Titleholders, we will plan for a Live National Pageant. A minimum of 45 contestants must be registered to compete at Nationals in order to officially go LIVE. This event will be where our Inaugural Reigning Queens and Kings will proudly crown their successors.

During their reign, our Inaugural Titleholders will serve as National Brand Ambassadors, promoting themselves and representing the values and vision of National Miss America and United States National Miss across their communities and platforms.
